    Anyone use a “Ridge Fan”?

Found a simple solution to a wet summer night possibly? Or could it help reduce condensation? These little phone powered fans plus a Media Hook make a great combo! Has anyone else come up with something to circulate the air?

That's pretty cool, how much does it affect the phones battery time? Guess you could always hook it up to an Anker charger.

I haven't bothered to figure that out, but maybe I could do that some time soon. It's a great little gadget that works well for it's size. It has only one speed, but it is a very useful speed, I think. I found it it at Bed, Bath and Beyond actually. Only cost 5 bucks! It's blades are a rigid plastic, but with rounded edges that won't hurt anything it touches. If it contacts the net or something, it just stops and slips between the spindle and proppellers until it is moved. It weighs only 14.7g or 0.5oz.

Yes, I was thinking with the right kind of cable (if they even make that kind), it could be powered by a USB battery and become even easier to rig up without the weight of the phone.

Well I couldn't figure out how to remove the pic of the Anker from the post.

I bought some Chinese cheapo USB fans from eBay last spring. Used one over the summer and gave 1 to my oldest, who was also hammocking. Plugged it into a battery pack that sat in my ridgeline organizer and it did a great job circulating the air during our 90+ degree week at Boy Scout summer camp. Similar to these:

Over on Aliexpress these fans are available for $0.85 - $1.05 delivered. I like the one with the Dual USB/Micro USB. Gives some options.fans.JPG

Ya, I noticed there are plenty of these on Amazon too. The exact brand I have is Kikkerland, but they are probably all good enough.

At that price I don't have to feel too bad when it gets squished in my pack.
