Finished it. I did the darts. I used it last weekend with forecast lows of 42. I was in a 45 degree down bag. Was a little chilly a couple times during the night in spots on the bottom and from the top as well. The next night, I cinced it up a little tighter and was fine, but lows were in the low 50s that night.

I was not real impressed with the Climasheild I received. I don't intend to name the vendor because I made no effort to resolve my concerns with them. Some layers were torn a little and it seemed to have been "stretched" in a couple spots in the middle and I could not work around it. In several spots, I could see through it to the floor. In the rest, I could not see through it at all. I added some cutoffs to a few spots and attached with a very light dose of spray adhesive on the parts I added.

This combined with inexperience in setup probably led to marginal performance. I wanted a 30 degree UQ, but most use will be 45+ here in GA, so no big deal. I don't do so well with posting pictures, but it's OD green and looks like the rest of them.

When I make my down UQ, I'll definitely post pics of that.

Don't blame your vendor. That's pretty typical of the HL for whatever reason. I mentioned it to my vendor and they said the same. In fact, it's why they express it's thickness as a range.

That said, my Climashield quilt worked flawlessly even with the uneven places. Warmth was even.

Sorry to hear you weren't happy with your quilt. I just finished a project I wasn't happy with either. You'll be richer off with the experience. I won't touch darts!

I am not unhappy with it at all. I think UQ inexperience is an issue. I've got 2 acres of land with no trees close enough to hand a hammock. I've got an indoor hammock stand, but have a tough time getting the "real world" lay out of my hammock in the stand. Just need to use the UQ more. Will do it again Easter weekend.

Darts are not tough, pretty much fold, mark, cut a triangle and sew it.
