    Ive done 30 feet.
I carry a bit of 4mm spectra in the car for the beach if ny tree is taken.

All those trees and only 2 of them suitable for a standard hang.

Just lazy hanging in the city not camping

I do have a post about 15’ from one of the trees. That’s where I usually do my backyard hanging.

But if I’m 10’ from either canopy the star viewing is going to be awesome!

That's not what I get - I get 208.5 inches, which is 17.3 feet high. Still way too far for me. The furthest I've ever hung was 30 ft. between anchors, which is about 10 feet high.

Make sure you get a picture spanning that distance in an ENO hammock. You're almost guaranteed to get in their photo gallery. Bonus points for banana lay!

First thing that came to mind was a product called the Treble Tree-O Hammock Frame (which Treble doesn't appear to sell anymore). Basically it's like a slackline but with loops sewn on like a beefier version of a daisy chain hammock strap, and you attach your hammock to loops on the "slackline".

Still, I think theirs was only supposed to span 30', though I'm sure slackliners span way longer distances than that. Just an idea for you--- wouldn't have to get all that high on your trees to set it up.

I’m not sure if you’re being serious or sarcastic, but I’m leaning towards sarcastic. Lol!

I’ll get around to it sometime in the next couple months and I’ll post a picture here though

I'd suggest looking at a Single-Line System (SLS). Do a search of the forum.....basically you run a strong line between the trees and pull it very very tight. Then you attach your hammock to that line somewhere in the middle.

This topic always interests me. I just did some quick calculations and figure I have enough straps on hand to do about a 38-40 foot span, depending on the tree girth. I may have to make this happen.

    55’ hang challenge complete!!!

The suspension is very springy, and you can swing allllllll day 🤣

Except it’s 35* and I’m headed back inside.

Great view of the sky too
