    IN>Hoosier HF Spring Afterhang ~ April 20-21-22

Thought I'd open this up for anyone who might see it.

Several that could not make it last week, have shown interest in doing it up again in the HNF @Terrell pond (northern terminus) of Terrell Ridge Trail, in the DWA. Just park at the fire tower and keep on the crushed stone fire trail going north until it ends at a small watershed pond. You are there!

Coming down late Friday night, and will be in the general area. If the mushrooms in Axsom branch aren't calling me too hard when I try to slip past the trail spur

Lyrid meteor shower Sunday morn 2-5am. Viewing will be pretty good. Terrell Pond should make a great place to gaze. Moon will go down early. If you want to try and watch from the hammock, set up for a view of the SE sky. It's a radiant shower, which is a little different from some of the others.

Excellent weather and excellent company. Had a great time and it was awesome to catch up with everyone and meet some new folks. For those of you that are interested, here is a link to a drone video I took with my kingkong tiny7 micro drone that I was flying around a few times. I'll add more videos to the channel as time permits. thanks everyone! https://youtu.be/5RBiLmoVeUA

Neat drone footage. Almost like being there..which I wasn't. Pulled into the last spot in the parking lot @ about 9:30 or so. Saw a couple folks saddled up and ready to hit the trail, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Way too many people on Terrell. Grubb ridge TH was the same if not worse. Ended up taking my time and driving around to Story in order to get Brown Hollow all to myself for the weekend.

HF did a fine job cleaning up the Spring Hang from the week before. LNT was impressive guys/gals.

Yeah this place is a total zoo starting...now. Years ago I was comfortable pulling in after work on a Friday; unfortunately now I reserve it for weekdays or winter trips. Always a big row of cars parked on the road right next to the "NO PARKING" signs.

I actually found the south side of the lake had cars at almost every pull off all the way to where Combs road is blocked to traffic. Even the pull off @ the old Nebo TH. Got lucky in Brown Hollow. No one all weekend until I got back to the NRT coming out.

Found a new way into Brown Hollow, which makes a bit of a loop, and lets you do a one way out, of the hollow, instead of taking the same hill twice. Drops you out into the hollow, just across the creek from the fire ring. Didn't even know I was there until I walked right up on it.
