Hey folks,
Thanks for the invite. Great place to hang! There is so much info and I have so much to learn!
Still relatively new to the back country. I started about 2 years ago with a group of friends and have Been going strong ever since. Not knowing anything at all about hammocking or any one that did, and even less about all the increadable trails through out the great Canadian Rockys. I made the leap and with my first purchase of any gear what so ever (even befor my pack) I found my self into a wbbb xlc and have never looked back. Even tho my first sleep (lay) I was frozen cold in the rain of one of our wonderfully renowned (sacasim) Alberta May long weekends. I stuck with it and learned my first lesson. BUY AN UNDERQUILT!!! So With uq in tote and my 50lbs pack of crap I headed off on my first actual adventure. 3 nights on the skyline trail. And that my friend is where it all started, my now life long addiction, pleasure in pain, and all the pure natural beauty waiting at the top of the mountain or the middle of no where. Since then I have made numerous trips and even made my way through a 9 day 200km trek known as the North Boundary.
