    Hammock Hotel

The rooms are small but comfortable. Bathroom's down the hall, though.

Looks like the wave of the future. The Boy Scouts could easily build these for their camps!

Looks very similar to what Tom Hennessy used to display his hammocks at the last Boy Scout Jamboree in 2005.

I'll bet money that if those show up on trails, people will mistake them for some sort of ceremonial circle.

    Kind of like Stonehenge.

    That's cool.

Wonder how long it will be until we see something like this at an AT shelter. That's when we will know that hammocking is really taking off.

They already have them installed at most shelters along the trail. They are called trees and they were installed by Mother Nature in coordination with God.

    LOL...I love it. Well stated.
I don't see how the man-mad hammock hotels would take up that much space. Maybe AS MUCH as a shelter...Certainly not more.

looks like it sleeps as many as a shelter, though, and gives more personal privacy. I'll take trees myself.

maybe a better trend to see taking place would be more clean forest areas around shelters (free of most undergrowth) for hammocks.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
