CANCELLED: Just realized this is memorial weekend so i'm going to cancel this and "hopefully" reschedule it for later!
Haven't seen anything for MISSOURI for a LONG time so checking to see if anyone would be interested in this group hang:
Date 26 & 27 May; last chance before the impossible heat
Where: Taum Sauk Mountain State Park. Meet at trail head at 10:00 am; we'll hike to Mina Sauk falls, then down to the base of the falls and then out along the Taum Sauk section of the OT passed Devil's Tollgate. There are a number of nice campsites with fire rings. Hike is about 5.5 miles. it's rocky and can be quite wet after rains.
On Sunday we hike back out the way we came.
If we get the site I'm interested in quite a few can hang but if a lot come we'll have to disperse in the surrounding area. Lot's of water and it's a beautiful trail. Especially nice if it rains some a few days before we go since Mina Sauk falls is a "wet" falls.
So chime in if you're in. I'm thinking this may be my last local hike before heading to Mass!
