Hello from Green Cove Springs, FL

Been in and out of the loop lately. Lots of things have been going on in my life with work and new house and all that jazz. Since we are entering into are non hiking camping time in fl. I feel it is time to learn about new and gear and save up for a new hammock. Looking forward to go to gatherings and to learn more about hammocking

Welcome from a fellow N. Fla member. I sometimes still do some camping in summer I just don't hike. The hammock does a pretty good job of keeping you cool in the fl summer.

    Jax

Ocala Ntnl forest is the best place to hang. Around Feb-Mar Hangcon should be going on again there. I missed this years but will definitely make the next one.

Not too busy being the key. It’s definitely a hot spot on the weekends. I hiked the whole Ocala section of the Florida Trail back in January and got to hidden pond on a weekday so it was deserted. Perfect place to hang then.
