    Ruby Mountain trees?

Are there trees in the ruby mountains outside of Elko NV that would support a multi day hike while fishing some of the higher lakes? We could do a basecamp hike with day hikes to various lakes as well if it made more sense.

KSC is the expert on the Ruby's. I have been down several times to hang with him. In the lower elevations along the road, there are scrub mahogany and aspen that we have hung from many times. Higher up we camped in some small pine. KSC has been to all of the lakes in the range and hung near most but I know some don't have much. Check out his trip reports and mine for some photos of the are. KSC will probably chime in if he can.
