    Gatlinburg TN. Mid July.

I will be in Gatlinburg Tennessee in Mid July...I'd love to hang out in the woods with a hanger or two...or more. I am making plans to possibly stay with a friend in Morristown who will shuttle me around a few times for a couple days here and there. Im trying to get some nice views and avoid anything too strenuous on my back. I have yet to sleep overnight in my hammock and this will be my first time. I know some ppl like to "watch". hehe Maybe I won't fall flat on my face or damage any floura or fauna!

Gatlinburg is a good area to hike out of if you can live with the traffic.

If it will be in October I could head over there and do a couple of prep-nights if you don't mind. I will be part time at the end of this month, and doing a lot of hiking and camping on my 4 days off a week. We could set up an ENO campsite, and call it the Eagle's Nest. Wow, I need sleep.

Ill be there at the end of August. I really wanted to do some backpacking, but it would likely be my last anniversary celebration if I did. Maybe I can head back up in October if you nail down some dates. BD
Just Jeff made me do it

From this day forward, every time I lay in my hammock I will say "The Eagle has landed." Then make that static noise some radios make when you release the PTT button.

lol You do need sleep. That is cute about "the eagle has landed".

I will get the dates. I believe it is the last 2 weeks in October. I am also planning a week(5 days) long hike from above Damascus to Dam. in late August early Spetember with Two Speed and his puppy. (when I say puppy I mean DOG but, I consider them all puppies. =D) Im taking a bus to Atlanta meeting T.S. and we will be headed to Dam. to get a shuttle.

Im trying to get as many overnighters in as possible to get the hang of my hammock system and work the kinks out of my new gear before attempting a Thru for the second time in March.
