I was thinking about connecting my Blackbird guy lines to the guy line rings on my tarp(MacCat Deluxe).
Does anyone have comments/ideas about doing this? Will it work?

I have staked the BB shock cord tie outs to the same corner stake as I use for the tarp. That works fine.
I'm not sure about connecting directly to the tarp d-rings, though. I would think that would tug on the tarp for every movement of the hammock and occupant, ultimately loosening the tarp. It might be worth trying, though.

i guess my think'in is if you can reach the d ring why not go to the stake?? my 0.02 worth
i do not remember the question, however i believe beer is the answer
I am with them, I stake to the head end stakes of my tarp with the BB lines. Works great that way, and quick to set up and take down. I like the lines of my BB staked pretty tight to hold the self and the bug net out wide, so going to the corner stake seem just the right spacing usually.

I've connected the wing tieouts to the trekking poles holding up my tarp in porch mode. It's nice for blocking ambient light to help you sleep in, and helps block the wind that your porch tarp isn't blocking. Overall, I prefer the sides pulled lower to the ground for better visibility, though, so I usually go with tying it to the existing tarp stakes, as others have said.
