I don't know about traditions, I kind of think those need to be created as you go, kind of like Trail Names. I definitely think that no shoes should be allowed that would help keep you in your hammock all day.
How about everybody submits a picture of them holding a local paper or something with the date while they swing/hang in their hammock. Maybe the Mods could set-up a hammock day gallery. Might be fun and we might get some good decoration ideas. This is a pretty creative group.

Sounds good to me...I don't know how to create a separate gallery, though. You could probably just upload it with "Hammock Day" in the description and we could check them all out that day.
