Well not exactly as we hoped - but got to hang her up anyhow. Makes a great base camp as we are in Oakhurst just 10 miles outside park. Temps almost don't justify the UQ but I regulate things top side and I am a cold sleeper - temps no lower than high 50's so a very minimal fleece blanket all I had topside. Loved the polycro on my feet though when I was up the 4 times to piss. . What is it about a hammock that makes you pee?

The other nice thing about polycro is that it takes up much less space than tyvek.

I like tyvek too, and have a number of footprints made from it. It is light, tough, slippery, and noisy.

Different types of tyvek have different weights.

    WAY heavier than polycryo.

Yeah and just like everyone I have talked too says it breaks down over time and actually begins to absorb moisture rendering it either useless or at best soggy when you go to store it making it a breeding ground for molds and other crap.

Yes tyvek does break down over time. However, I would dare say the longevity of tyvek over polycro is many times greater. Plus, you really don't have to keep using it if after its integrity is compromised. If you can't figure out that it is time to retire the old piece and purchase a replacement, ask a friend to help out. Again, I'm a fan of both depending on the particular circumstances.
