I usually go out to Lower Forge at least twice in July - this is the second blueberry trip to Lower Forge and I've reserved site 5.

I'll be hiking in from Atsion, so there are usually plenty of blueberry patches to enjoy on the way in, and there are many blueberries around Lower Forge. I'll be bringing my beagle Joey.

Not many people attend these blueberry hangs - I guess they hate the heat more than they like the blueberries! My wife is expecting me to bring enough blueberries home to make a pie or two, so I am on a mission.

I'm stupid - my wife didn't even know there are blueberries in the Pine Barrens until I accidentally mentioned it. It's the 5th year I've gone to the Pine Barrens for blueberries and I have never ever mentioned it, but somehow it slipped out.

I'm also going out on July 7, if that works for you. Last year you seemed confused by "4th Annual," and "Second 4th Annual" Blueberry Hang - but I have to get out at least twice during blueberry season to enjoy the abundance of fruit!

I recall and I did see the first one as well, but neither weekend would work for me. I would only be available to go on the 28th. In any case, there are several other factors that get in my way. Working on them now but...

So nobody likes blueberries? I thoroughly understand - this is the second 5th annual Blueberry Hang and hardly anyone ever comes out to join. Nobody came out for the 1st 5th Annual Blueberry hang either. I guess the heat is a bit too much. Oh well - I guess you guys don't like blue poop in the morning! Better yet is having blueberries with breakfast.
