2 inch spider huggers now available at Dutchwaregear.com

I have 2 inch spider webbing now available in Huggers. We will be also making the webbing available for the DIYers. It has a 1500 pound breaking strength and a really tight weave. It comes in at only 3.2 grams per foot which is about equal to a Whoopie sling. Now you can be light weight and still protect the trees. They are black with a thin gold stripe to help identify them.

    Now you're talking!
There has been a ton of innovation with webbing lately, but I'm glad to see what I hope will be a durable 2" that can be carried as a spare to my regular 1" straps without adding so much bulk.
I'm not often in any location that requires 2" straps, but if these pack anything like the the 1" spider webbing, it'll be handy to pack along as a just in case set of huggers for those off times. Our Missouri state parks have gone this route, and although recently they didn't say anything about my 1.5" straps, it is posted that there is a 2" requirement. I only had one set of 2" huggers that I rigged my daughter's setup with, so I had already been debating a secondary set. Now just release a few other "cool" things that I can add on and I'll get another order in with some non-sewn webbing

I’d love to see Dutch make one of those hybrids out of this new material. They start out at 2” for extra tree protection, then narrow down to 1 inch for weight savings. I suppose I could settle on a DIY version and just tie or sew the two separate straps together.

Really interested in these. I have a pair of 2" huggers that I use now that are triple the weight of these. Please post thoughts when you get a chance, everyone!
