Dry year...that will be a change....I think that of the approx 6 time I have attended, it has rained all but one. The first year the fall hang was held was the worse for rain as we had a frog strangler of a rain storm Sunday morning. Was nice and dry until I had to take down all the hammock gear. Gumbo's daughter was in a tent and got flooded...got a trail name of Soggy Bottoms.

I like Dutch bling....maybe Dutch will deliver the bling.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Seems there is still, or is more, heightened bear activity in the area. Enough to prompt a "warning" and recommend avoiding the area. LINK and LINK

Guess I am going to have to invest in a couple of Blue Tick hounds. I just hate having to chase after those suckers once they get on a trail.

Alternatively, we will ensure that all food is stored properly at the camping area. Preferably in the oldest vehicle on site.

We're not staying at a shelter and will probably have a fire burning all night to some extent. I don't think there is a problem here.

Good to hear from you brother!
It'll be really good to spend some camp time with you!

Big Blue bit the dust at a winter hang there a while back.
Hickery has what we like to call SOB... Son Of Blue.
He has used it at a winter hang also and says it has gained about 10lbs in Gorilla Tape!
