Thanks to all who inspired/taught me to make this 🐢 dog stand!

Hi everyone: just wanted to share my success with my DIY turtle dog stand. Here are the pics to show that „it happened.“CDB1187E-F52F-4B7D-86E1-CC951A965517.jpgCDB1187E-F52F-4B7D-86E1-CC951A965517.jpg

Thanks.. Even I the handyman with two left hands made this.. If I can do it, even a caveman/woman can do it! Total cost under $100. I do recommend setting this stand up on level ground, and to use knot free boards if you can find them. The 2 x 4s are 8' long, so a little cumbersome to transport. I may actually want to buy the waaaaay more portable Tensa4 for the next trip to the beach..lugging this large turtledog stand to various parks is a bit of a hassle when traveling with my family of 4.

I am thinking that I could totally make this but it is way too big and bulky for me to use anywhere near where I live. No yard and all lol. I sure couldnt transport it in my car. I think I will have to go a different route.

The Ridge pole is 1 3/8 fence top rail cut to 13' LOA to fit my 12' tarp. Suspension is heavy duty 8" gate hinge connected to 1/4" steel shackle ,connected 1/4 rope loop prussiked to top rail and carabiner. from there I just larks headed some 6' polypro straps and made a marlin spike hitch to connect my hammock's CLs to. Dang its nice when a plan comes together.
