    My new underquilt

What am i missing!? Im new to the hanging world , and if im going to do this i want to do it right. I got my new Incubator 30 yesterday. I see where the primary suspension is attached. But the secondary has me stumped. I know it is to keep the 2 sides taut. Does this just attach to the biner too? I've watched Shugs vid a few times, but im still stumped!

Here is a shorter version of the video.
Both suspensions hook to the biner.

    Primary lifts it up.
    Secondary stretches it out...

Yes. The secondary should be larks headed to the biner so each corner can be adjusted separately, while the primary is just clipped into the biner. To do this, lengthen the secondary all the way then larks head to the biner right in the middle so both sides are the same length. Next clip primary into biner and hang from hammock suspension. The Primary will be kind of tight while the secondary will be hanging loose. Now you can shorten each corner of the secondary separately which will help pull the quilt up and out as well as to bias your foot and head end corners so they are pulled out farther to have more coverage where you need it most. I'll post some close up pics in a few...

And on the right lol. In pic #5, behind the hammock you can see one of the 4× posts that I put in so I don't have to hang from them anymore lol. They are positioned so my rig will be parallel to the water to allow my tarp to block more wind and rain blowing in off the water, up the hill and up under/into my tarp. Also, I put them in a spot that doesn't have any tree limbs overhead to help stop the evil blood lusting arachnids from coming down, spec-ops style onto my rig. So, once the second post is in we'll see if it has any effect if the number decreases or not. Although, I might be fighting a losing battle because Sunday night I got my first real peek into the opposing forces true number of troops, where before I could only speculate .... and it doesn't look good for me. It was around 930 and I had just headed out to do my nightly web check before climbing into the new Ridgerunner. As I closed the door and turned my headlamp on I realized that I need new batteries , so I went in, changed them and went back out. I was walking the 30' to the hammock when I turned on the now fully charged light and as the beam shined out across my yard I saw what looked like hundreds of sparkling diamonds , scattered throughout my front yard and in the trunks of the trees I use to hang . At first, I couldn't tell what they were so I started towards the closest one and it moved, that's when I realized what I was in fact looking at : lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and lots, and LOTS of baby Wolf spiders! My first thought was to step on as many as I could, but I had crocs on so I made a mad dash for the hammock, did a quick once over of the zipper to make sure none would have the chance to sleep with me , and then I unzipped, turned around , sat then layed down and re-zipped all in one quick, fluid motion..... I was now in my " safe place" lol. So while I might be able to cut down on the amount that are hanging from every inch of my tarp and suspension, I don't think it's possible to win this battle unless I take it next level : fire. Lol! Sorry for high jacking your thread with my tale!

The spiders enjoy the awesome view of the Chesapeake Bay as much as Chessie! Awesome water view Chesapeake! Thanks for sharing the knowledge on primary and secondary suspensions.
