It's still on the table, but plans from the family out there have changed. It's getting sketchy though. My wife and I are still trying to find out what the family is definitely doing/not doing. I'll let you know when I have more info. I'd really like to do this.

I am trying to plan out some of my summer hiking and would like to put some dates on doing this trip. Trout, are you still coming? Any of the new ID hangers interested? To get to the lakes I posted about above is 2 miles to the first and about 1 more to get to the second, there is also a small loop that would take us into a nother and then send us back towards the trail head. Would make for a easy 1-2 night trip just a little ways out of McCall. I am thinking about 2-3 weeks from now would fit into my schedule. But I am very flexible on exact days so if some specific days off work please let me know. I can drive and pick up folks in Boise, I have room for 3 very comfortably with gear and 4 snug. Let me know as it is getting to nice not to get out with the warm weather.

    Trout and Paul,

What are the odds? I'm actually going to be in McCall July 12-18 for a family reunion. I'm not yet sure if I could pull away for a quick overnighter if that's the week you're going.

However, if it's the next week it's a matter of justifying the return trip up the mountain....I can't commit to anything at this point, but keep me in the loop, please.

    Thanks again for the invite.

Currently, Idaho doesn't look like it's going to happen. I was hoping for a last minute chance or air fare to make it happen. I was really hoping. I'll let you know when I'm up your way. Sorry.
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.

Sorry to here that Trout. Hope it will come together some at point.

So guys looks like maybe it will just be some Idahoans. So looks like I can get free the week of the 11th-17th. Any days in there would work for me, Mondays tend to be busy but not so much so that it would be a problem. I would like to do 2 nights but I am not dead set on that and the mileage getting into these lakes is not that much so no real reason for more than 1 night.

Here is a small map of the area. The red trail is the main trail traveling west to east hitting Hard Creek Lake first and then Upper Hazzard, most likely camping there. The yellow trail would be an optional add on to get a few more miles and check out hidden lake.

Here is a shot of hidden lake (may be the best of the three)

Any way like I said I am very flexible for days but would like to get out and squeeze a trip up that way in to this summer. And with the warm weather mid month should be just about perfect for the McCall area before the Sawtooths are really dried out yet. Planing on a trip into the Tooth's about 2 weeks after this (about the first of August) so if this one dose not work out for everyone another will be close behind.
