My go at a turtledog hammock stand. I believe this is more like turtlelady's and less of the dog features.

I used
2x2 8' (6)
EMT Conduit 1/2" 10' (1)
Paracord 50+ ft

I wanted to put something together quickly and didn't want to deal with the hinges so I just lashed the tripods together like the original turtlelady stand. But I used 2x2's instead of bamboo.

I was afraid of the 1/2" conduit not holding up so I also purchased 3/4 and was planning on doubling them up but so far I have just been using the 1/2" conduit and it's not flexing at all, and I am a big guy. I do have some modifications to make. The bolts holding the hammock at the ends of the pipe are really thin, and all I had on me at the time. It's also not exactly portable since the 10' conduit is not split.

I like your clewed hammock. Is that a DIY or did you purchase it that way ?

I purchased it at a garage sale for $5 a few years ago, my first hammock. It's also my shortest hammock, figured it suitable for the 10' pole. I haven't tried my other hammocks on it yet.

Looks solid. My DIY TD stand has a 13' ridge pole so that i can use my 12' tarp on it. the 10' RP might work if you had a smaller tarp, say a 9 x 9 in diamond layout.
