Minister Creek ANF - MidHHA 2018

Probably the most enjoyable weekend I've spent at Minister Creek, and that's saying something! Great weather, food, and camaraderie. I believe we numbered 11 hammockers in total, not counting the many drop-by visitors. I didn't take too many pictures, but photographyfromthewilds swung by on Saturday to talk shop and has kindly posted this album of shots. Thanks again to everyone who came out and contributed to such a wonderful hang!

I had a great time hanging out with you all. Great people and what a wonderful spot to camp! And that weather, geez did we luck out, it was gorgeous.

Oh and a Kijaro chair and Snow Peak 300 stacking cup are on their way. Thanks a lot Chris and Julie, you are expensive people to know.
Ed, I was mistaken; "The way I ride it" it gets 40 mpg, not 30.
And the blade of the ESEE 6 log splitter is 1095 carbon steel, for our whittling grandpa who was wondering about that.

Looking forward to the winter hang, I hope to see you all again there.

    Edit:
Forgot to attach an image of Chris, for those of you who don’t know what he looks like.

That's my new favorite picture of myself. I look so mysterious and ready to take on our fascist overlords.

If you're itching to further lighten your wallet, don't forget about picking up a squirrel cooker! (Turkeyfoot really ought to be paying me a commission after this weekend! )

Not at this exact location, but there is an annual winter hang in the ANF. In previous years it has been off the Morrison hiking trail near Kinzua Dam. This year I believe the plan is to move locations to the Laurel Mill trail near Ridgway.

That said, anytime you want to check out Minister Creek and want some company, let me know! There were a couple people who weren't able to make it to this particular hang that expressed interest in getting back out there soon.

I'll let grand pa know! As you can tell, I was raised by a knife nut. He had a sharpening business once, he can sharpen anything.

If you get any commission don't forget to kick back to the person who showed you. LOL Sounds like a great time. Sorry I missed it. I'm just happy to be here, Blew a brake line 100 yards from the Thru-way. That could have gotten real ugly at 80 mph. Picked up a white Crosstrek. Trying to remember if yours was white?
