I sent them an email explaining our trip and desire to hang and how we do it properly. We shall see if I get a response.

Not on this trip! We don't want to get kicked out with nowhere to hang all the way across the country! I ain't sleeping in a crib with a 1 year old for sure!!

I was just up there on the PCT. There is an extraordinary hike from the I-90 PCT trailhead, 7 miles North (one way) to Ridge Lake. On the way you'll pass Kendall Catwalk... which is really something. Plenty of hanging along the way, tho the lake gets pretty crowded. 3000 feet of elevation to earn the views!
