Do you think that the 8x10 Cat tarp is enough coverage? Length and width wise for a bad storm and such? Thanks!

I've used the speer 8X10 rectangular tarp for over 3 years and it has provided great coverage over a clark ultralight, and a few other gathered end hammocks including a hennessy.
I read your question earlier today and took the speer hammock out back and pitched my new speer 8X10 cat tarp low over it. March is coming in like a lion and with rain and wind I took a nice nap in the hammock this afternoon. Just went out and checked it all out again and all is dry. No side spray on the hammock.
So 8X10 coverage is fine. Only thing you need to consider is how much room you want in stormy conditions. A larger tarp will provide more freedom of movement but it will also be a larger sail in high winds as well. Got to stake it good but with either tarp, good site selection can give better shelter against wind. I have the speer winter tarp and have yet to put it up. I dont mind the tight enclosure of the 8X10 when pitched low.

Thanks Hobbit, I got one, and I'm a little confused on how to hang it, mine has grommets in the ridge line tie outs and not sure if they go up or down, I put up a post earlier today asking others about it and asking for pics of it hanging with close ups of the tie outs, are you able to post some pics of yours?
