I am interested in moving from my descending rings and garda hitch suspension to a whoopie sling, I just have a couple of questions.
Note: I have read Slowbro's whoopie sling post and watched Professor Hammock's video on hammock suspension.
1. I've read that amsteel is slippery, is it still okay to use for a whoopie sling?
- If so, then I intend to use either 7/64" or 1/8" amsteel line. Would either size be better for providing more "grab" and less slippage, or would they perform identically?
2. When making the fixed eye at one end to attach to my hammock, what type of thread (for strength) should I be using to sew the bury and the constrictor together?
