KM (who will never NEED to know about camping in this kind of cold, but remains intrigued with the logistics of those who do)
I'm told, by some friends who do it, that works pretty well in a PeaPod. I've played around with it, but never actually depended on it. And I have always worried about compressing loft. But my buddy sleeps in a 55* Pea Pod warm/snug in the 20s, with a pad down in the pod.

I thought it would work even better with a snug design like the Yeti, but I have not had that much luck with it yet. I believe maybe for the reasons Shug already said. It may work OK in the PeaPod because of the full length Velcro support and the fact that the edge of the hammock is tightly covered along the entire length. So, it's hard to cause a leak or gap that matters much.

Thanks pal ... that's what I thought but figured I might as well ask the master!
Where was the area you camped and filmed in? Near home or a nearby forest? Really looks like a pretty section of woodland.

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

    Shug,
Look up the definition of Manitou....maybe that is why you felt that the dream was so real....it may have been you had gotten in touch with an Algonquian spirit....of course juicing yourself up with the meds. before lights-out time may have increased your dreamscape also.

Thanks for the great report! Thoughts:

    1) Have prostate checked Lots of love and humor included in that one

    2) Close proximity to ground plus any wind will cause velocity of wind to accelerate as it passes between the "gap" which will induce rapid heat loss... i.e. 5mph winds can become 20mph or even 50mph winds underneath you if the gap is small enough!!

Thanks again and warm thoughts from the north east!
