ULA OHM 2.0 Backpack (Roll top, S straps)

I purchased this pack June of 2018 and used it for about 300 miles of hiking. It still in great condition. My neck and trap area don't get along with the S straps. This pack is made out of what seems to be a very durable material and it has plenty of room for an entire hammock setup and food for 7 days of hiking if packed carefully. It also comes with a medium hip belt which fits 34"-38"

    Pack Specs:

    OHM 2.0 - MEDIUM

    TORSO SIZE: MEDIUM: 18" - 21"

    HIPBELT SIZE:
    SMALL: 30" - 34"

    SHOULDER STRAPS:S-CURVE

    TOP CLOSURE:ROLL TOP

    PACK COLOR: ORANGE

I know you can change the belt, but can you change the s to a j strap?

Is the s strap attached at a wider point? So unless you have broad shoulders the strap will be sitting on a wider point of your shoulder?

I doubt you can change the straps without some intensive work as they are sewn in at the top of the pack.

The only information I know about the S straps is what is on ULA's website. If you look at the picture you can see the S shape where the straps curve in. I measured a different pack and the the S straps are attached at a wider point but the other pack wasnt ULA so cant really confirm. This style strap is very comfy for some folks. I hiked the PCT with a guy who had a ULA circuit with the S straps and he loved them.

    From ULA's website

    "S STRAPS
The S straps work best on almost all women and men with square shoulders and good posture."

S straps go around a womans breast so it doesnt cut into them... if you were wondering
