    Burrow Econ 30

I just can't help myself, ordered another Hammock Gear product! Went with a Burrow Econ 30 this time and can't wait til it arrives in the mail!

Nice! I just got a 30 Econ Incubator and it's awesome. My next purchase will either be a 30 or 40 Econ Burrow for summer here in Ontario.

my collection includes a 30 incubator and a 40 phoenix both econ. both great. love the phoenix 40 for warmer temps- in the 50s and 60s. haven't put my 30 to the limit yet but looking forward to this fall. I feel like I will be able to get it down to freezing temps based on how warm it is. looking forward to dropping ounces with my new burrow quilt as well. my current 40 degree sleeping bag is 41 ounces so i'll be reducing by 22.5 ounces!

The Econ series is awesome! If you are not “ultralight” it is worth the cost savings.

Happy for you but...it's frustrating when I ordered a week before you and still haven't seen anything.

I think you can definitely use "Econ" or "Budget" quilts and still be ultralight. I use budget 20° quilts, and my base weight is 14lbs.

I think the point is, ounces are expensive and, on average, the 4 ounce delta from Premium to Econ is not a good trade-off. For the $100 price difference, those 4 ounces are a bargain!

Oh I totally agree. You eventually end up at a point where if you want to further save weight, you have to pay through the nose for it (get premium quilts, cuben fiber tarp, etc...). I just wanted to point out that you still carry a light load while using Econ quilts. Sure you'll be carrying more weight than if you had premium. But a 14lb base weight is still pretty light IMO.
