OK! I fixed the JH's suspension with the SMC rings and some 1/2" tubular webbing. Also decided to try my Nest with the JH. Fits like a glove! Real test will be does it keep me warm at altitude? Tonight I'll be 9000' with temps dipping into low 40s? But I'll have several pads along just incase! I added more pix:

    old thread

please note this thread is old and the weathershield info is out of date. JRB has a new version of the WS.

They could then add up to 3 or so 1/8 pads and see how it worked. Adjusting the pads if neccessary. Checking for air gaps. Of course the weather would have to be very cold. I believe something will be invented/made in the very near future that will allow you to hang without pads down to zero degrees or so.
    A super duper underquilt maybe?
Maybe use 3 underquilts....that would be way bulky.
    FF,

Have you been talking to the flies on JRB walls..... The prototypes have been done for a while.... Seen by some and headed to a tester next week.... Should be available this Fall.....I'd definately plan on being at the Fall MAHHA if I was interested.
