Yes, I too thought I had the fabled WW silnylon, but alas, it was merely DWR...

one can of Silicone waterproofing later, and it has held up admirably in 2 days of rain... Must be a record or something out here...

Someday, I'll order some cool sil and sew a real tarp.

Nice find on the digital camo. Sounds like hot-calendered untreated. If that's the case, it's probably downproof...

My WW has something that looks like that but seems to be a blend that includes cotton. It doesn't get that wispy nylon fray on cut edges and is heavier. I'm still temted to get some when I go.

I think I've bought up all th WW rs on the route I travel. I did think of an alternate route this morning that has two small town stores I haven't hit yet.

RF Do you know what it is? Am I right that it is a syn/cotton blend?

What are you making with it? I thought it might be good for a pack.

Hmmm. I'll have to check at Hancocks and see if mine is the same. I don't remember seeing this stuff there.

I'm making hammocks for the "Hammocks for Haiti" campaign. Hawkeye may know what it's made of. I think Slowhike (or Ken) made his hammock from this fabric. Perhaps one of them will chime in here.

Not sure pal ... I've used so many different things. The over cover, hammock chair and DIY ENO Clone I made were of 1.1 marpat.

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

Yeah, it's pretty heavy. Slowhike uses a hammock made of it. It seems to be synthetic to me, but it is not ripstop. At least I dont' see a ripstop pattern. Walmart around here has it periodically. I have some put back, and obtained what Running Feather has for him.
