Hey!
Just picked up a Hennessy hammock to try and get a better night's sleep, after years of ground camping with Scouts.
Looking for tips / recommendation on insulation and tarps
Cheers!

Depending on your model try here for starters for insulation options...

I find the Super shelter bulky in the pack & prefer a quilt...or a combo of the two if really cold & windy.
Don't forget a undercover otherwise all that generated body warmth will be blown away.

Tarps...
I changed from a Std Hennessy tarp to a Silnylon Typhoon tarp for the extra side tie downs in wild weather & protection on the ends. Still a small tarp though.
But there are plenty of other options out there nowadays. Minimalistic to the Taj Mahal !
Good luck & welcome to the forum, obrienk.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.

I use the bubble mat, or a DD underquilt, depending on how cold it is, in Feb I used both.
On top I have a DD Quilt, or again if cold a British Army Arctic bag

Hello and welcome!
From what I've seen Mat at UK hammocks has some great gear! I even have a woodsman X headed this way in a couple of weeks!

I've had my woodsman x for a few days and live it! If this is an example of his quality, give UKhammocks a shot. They have insulation and tarps available, and would be local for you!
