That's big enough to have Cirque du Soleil perform in your hammock! Plenty big enough for A-frame, too. Might limit your site selection a bit that big, though. Still...you should have NO worries about getting wet! And $20 is a steal.

I almost bought the white 12 foot. Now I'm glad I didn't. because---

I bought a 160 inch/ side catenary cut nysil tarp that I found on Craigs list for $20. It's huge. too big for one hammock. The diagonal is way over 15 feet . It seems to me that the 12 footer would also be too big for one hammock. I was thinking of cutting it but decided against it.

I will take that tarp off your hands is it's to big for you.

If the tarp is that big you'll probably have to get a step ladder to tie your hammock high enough to not drag the ground.

You should lend that thing out for hurricane relief...use it to cover houses that had their roofs ripped off

I'v been thinking about getting some of that 72 inch sil from Oware and making a 6x10 with no seam. Maybe a cat cut around perimeter. Should come in around 9 oz. That would be about the same size as the big Hennessy fly.

I don't know the exact specs on the HH hex, but I saw a couple at Hot Springs and they looked quite a bit wider than 6'.

I think I'm gonna try and finish the sewing on my tarp tonight. Hopefully I'll have pix tomorrow!

do 9X9's allow enough room to close the ends to prevent wind and such? I'm considering getting the 12x12 mentioned ( once I get on the waiting list which is out to February ) just so i can close the doors if need be.
