line pouch mods for superfly tarp

I finally got myself a thread injector and started killing material via death by needle.
my first project was converting my sb into a uq,
then with that as practice I made these mods to the superfly making line pouches.

I've been sewing all day .....
and mostly just making a mess with thread going everywhere!
..... I had more jams and messes of knots .........
but later I started to get some clean stitches going .....
It's not as easy as it might all sound,
and getting quality stitching is gonna take me awhile to figure out!
but two of my projects are now done and ready for field testing!
and later I'll get back onto my "Thunderbird" project,
but that'll be after my 10-12 day kayak trip down the colorado river
starting in austin texas and finishing in the gulf of mexico.

I've been thinking of doing this to my tarps. I hate having tons of twisted line to sort out in the cold rain. It's like trying to sort out computer cords on a caffeine high! Have you considered sewing along the open side of the pouch leaving maybe two inches. I was thinking the line would come out of the pocket in the bag.

come on, lets see um! I still have my swt to make mods to ...... and the more ideas the better! I also haven't yet decided on what to do about the ridge lines and haven't sewn in any pockets for them yet.

I know that there are bags made for this, but it seemed even more troublesome to use that. with my design I have that "inner tuck pocket" so that the lines won't just fall out. they stay trapped with that inner second piece of fabric.

some on guys, show us what you got! the more ideas the merrier. and if I can do this on my first day with a machine then anyone can do this!

and oh, btw, if you know of someone knowledgeable with tread injectors (but call them sewing machines so they know what you're talking about) bring them along! I saw the reverse button but didn't know there was a foot pedal to make it all go! and there was no picture of it on the box ....
and, I heard of something called a drop in bobbin? what ever that is it sure sounds like a REALLY nice thing to have!

I'll be puttin' my new power tool to work over these next few days, I got plenty of projects backed up! now it's time to shred a thread!

here's my first project, my uq to my blackbird (and eno) ....

Solve your tarp and ridgeline storage by whipping up a set of mesh (no see'um) skins. Bundle them, the use your last buntline wraps for your ridgeline bundle to secure the skinned tarp and ridgline into one bundle. Makes lining, then tarping up in higher winds and driving rain possible... my 2¢
