Hammocks for surveillance

Well here’s a new twist to hammocking. I was recently assigned to some beach surveillance for some criminal activity in the area. Knowing I would be out for 8-12 hours in the outdoors, I decided to make the most of my time out and post up in my CuteQueen Hammock.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the CuteQueen, it’s an $18 Amazon special that has become my favorite day Hammock. I’ve upgraded the suspension with some Dutch gear and keep it with me at all times.

Needless to say, I caused quite a stir with my unit when they saw how comfortable I was and I may have converted a few of the guys to the hammock world.

Here are a few photos of my setup as well as some drone footage from the day. Although it looks like I’m starring off into the sea grapes, I’m actually looking at the parking lot on the other side of the trees
