Also, to absolutely prevent down migration between chambers, make sure each chamber is completely sealed off from its neighbors after filling with down. Your plans look solid.
Thanks for the comments. I'm sure you're correct about the snaps in the hem. I'm toying with the idea of making the hem a channel which could accept shock cord and allow use as an underquilt (although not differential cut). The grosgrain would attach at the base of the channel so as not to interfere with shock cord with the snaps at the end of about 1" length of grosgrain. On my CS top quilt I did the snaps on loops of grosgrain so I could either snap them, or feed a cord through the loops to cinch up a foot box of adjustable length. This is similar to a Tac Blades top quilt design where I got the idea. (Thanks Tac!)

Almost done, except not quite enough down in the vertical chambers. I bought six 3oz bags of 800fp duck down from RSBTR. I used two bags in the 5 horizontal chambers at the foot end, and that worked out fine. Not sure why four bags in the 10 vertical chambers which are virtually the same dimensions wasn't adequate. Maybe some of the vertical chamber down blew into the horizontals?

Anyway, I ordered one more bag, since I think I'm less than 2.5 oz shy. Here are some pics

I'll probably add some more snaps to the foot plug and a few to the foot end. I just wanted to see how it looks. Of course, I can always cinch the drawcord down more to seal leaks.

All done! All that's left is to fluff it up in the dryer, and make a stuff sack. Oh, and to test drive it! I had to add 3 more ounces of duck down than planned. I calculated using 800fp duck down with 20% overstuff, and still came up short. I noticed that the down was pretty clumpy in the bags, so maybe I way overstuff it - ie if it fluffs up way more than just shaking it out. I wanted to avoid ripping out seams, though, to I put enough in to convince myself that I wouldn't have to rip the seams out. If it's a bit too much, well then it'll be 3 oz heavier. I think I can handle that! Here's some more pics

I'd hoped to test it out tonight, but life happened instead.
