Thanks for the comments. I'm sure you're correct about the snaps in the hem. I'm toying with the idea of making the hem a channel which could accept shock cord and allow use as an underquilt (although not differential cut). The grosgrain would attach at the base of the channel so as not to interfere with shock cord with the snaps at the end of about 1" length of grosgrain. On my CS top quilt I did the snaps on loops of grosgrain so I could either snap them, or feed a cord through the loops to cinch up a foot box of adjustable length. This is similar to a Tac Blades top quilt design where I got the idea. (Thanks Tac!)
