Well it was back in May 2013 when I bought that fabric but it didn’t say what it was. It looks like it’s about time to try something new anyway haha. It’s been too long! I think I will err on the side of too stiff this time. Will report back when I figure something out. Thanks for all the help.

Just a quick update, I just ordered a hexon 2.4 netless from Dutch. They were on sale and I have the suspension and can make a fixed ridgeline so I’ll be able to test a stiffer hammock on the cheap. Hope it works.

Ok thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to look up some videos for that.

Plus one on going to see a sports medicine orthopedic specialist. I suffered with shoulder pain for nearly a year and kept putting it off thinking it would heal on its own. Finally, the pain was so bad that I couldn’t sleep at night, nor move my arm by mid-day, so I broke down and made an ortho appointment. Went through the whole X-ray, and MRI thing... paid a ridiculous amount of fees but my shoulder is better than ever and no pain at all. Wish now that I had gone 10 months earlier. Somewhat ironically, sleeping in the hammock was the only comfortable sleep I got during that time but the pain during the day/evening made camping not so enjoyable.

You'll find me hanging somewhere in the sunshine state.
a couple years ago I went through this with my left shoulder, at first I couldn't pin point what caused it, but I could not lift my arm above should height, it was too painful. So I went to the dr and had x-ray and a mri done, nothing was found, gave me drugs which I hate't and didn't use and told me to ice it. Figured out it was our new sleep number bed, returned it, got a new sealy and it got better, slowly. Shoulders are a *****, especially after 50, luckily I work at home and had good support from the wife. Took almost a full year to completely heal. Good luck

I also say see an orthopedist NOW! I too had shoulder surgery and am glad for it. Only time it hurts is when I open a reach in freezer and when it gets cold.
I do not EVER let my left shoulder get cold. The pain is unreal. I have a lot of TI implanted, plus a defibrillator. I think the big ugly woodscrews used to hold the wire and bones together is what sets the deep pain off when cold. We were living in a sub artic region of northern B.C. so I figuref out cold and my shoulder do not mix.
Maybe if I had proper medical care of my shoulder originally I would not have constant discomfort to pain in my left shoulder. My right shoulder healed okay if I am gentle with my movements. I am female, the female shoulder is not the same as a males shoulder. Guys seem to be built to hold together better than females. I am smaller boned and at one time I was very competive the mix equals lots of fractures and dislocations.
Now days like some other members here I am careful what I do.
Anyway, getting aporopriate help from a Sports Medicine Clinic saves a lot of grief.
