    I know when you push the 7/64 together to open it up and compare it to some 1/8 you've just done the same thing too....

    I can see through the 7/64... Not so with the 1/8. Which leads me to believe there is more stress on a bury entrance/exit on the 1/8 than the 7/64.

    Im all about destroying things. But the rating of the 1/8 is more than I want to subject a $30,000 machine to. Especially since its not my machine!!

    If the 7/64 holds up.. youve got no worries about the 1/8.

    Not trying to revive this thread for long but newbie to splicing. Can someone point me to a thread or picture on how to stitch the bury of a fixed eye loop? Thank you.

    You'll find it in this pdf document from Sampson. At the very end. "Lock Stitch Procedure".

    I use the "Locked Brummel" when I can, instead. It is easily done when the standing end of the cord is free.
