    guy lines?

So, after messing around with cheap tarps I have saved up a bit and ordered a MacCat Deluxe in Spinn.

1 question though- is the guyline kit worth it? I'm wondering whether I should just go for the complete system than risk a sub-optimal tie out.

I would make your own . That way you can make them longer, if you want , so as to tie to tree's , or use trekking poles to porch one side etc. You can get no-tangle from Speer or braided mason line locally or Triptease line from REI .

I'm actually now stocking the same line that Ed Speer carries, but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative than mason line from your local HD or Lowes would work great as well.

I got my Spinn Deluxe with OES tieouts, and it is the same line ed speer sells. I ordered some of the Glow in the Dark line loks from the forum store, and the combination works great. I get a tight pitch that holds all night, and allows for easy adjustment if I need to due to rain or snow.

To put mason line on a OES spin tarp is like going on a date with a super model to Mc Donalds. Get some no tangle , zing it or some trip ease. Mason line tangle something terrible. At least if you do go to Mc Donalds, get one of there angus burgers and leave teh coupons at home.

I ordered the guylines with my Spinn deluxe and they've been great. I've got them attached to the tarp with sliding knots for quick set-up and use the reinforced silnylon bag they came in to carry my MSR Ground Hog stakes.
