I don't have any quick access to zing it or lash it and I'm trying to avoid buying any more stuff off the internet for a bit. Been spending too much money the last few weeks.
Paracord is in a similar strength rating, if I mooch some off my buddy -- that should work, shouldn't it?
Yes I think the para cord will work just fine.
I've used paracord many times in the past. Works just fine! The only thing is, it'll stretch a while after it's up, so be prepared to retighten.
I have been using paracord and never had a single issue or worry. However, after using some whoopie slings for my hammock suspension, I am considering changing out my tarp suspension for some amsteel whoopie slings. But it really is more of just trying out different things and deciding what you like best.
Ok, I have some Kelty Triptease line I could use to make a ridgeline for my ENO Singlenest. What knots are you guys using to secure the line? I'm thinking one end would be static, but give the other end the ability to be adjusted until I find out my preferred ridgeline lenght?

Does the learning and DROOLING never end?

For a static end on the ridgeline I would suggest using a bowline as it will not bind on you and will be easy to remove later if..I mean when you decide to change your RL. For the adjustable end, I would second opie's suggestion and use a prussik or friction hitch. Although if you have a loop you are running through you could also just put two half hitches but instead of pulling the bitter end all the way through the second time, just pull a loop through for easy was to untie it.
Where is a good source for smaller quantities of Zing It?
