Questions came up in another thread, so I'm linking to them.
I've had some people contact me with questions about what the WRFA course is and how it differs from the Standard First Aid and CPR courses taught in the workplace. I've included some links to the official Red Cross propaganda materials here: WRFA promotional video
and WRFA brochure.
For those of you that know the ABCs (Airway Breathing Circulation) ,we'll expand that to include ABCDE (Disabilities and Exposure) and also cover SAMPLE DOTS.
For more information about the class or if you want to learn to be an instructor, see this site.
I never got enough people together at the same time on the same dates for this type of hang. I'm still interested...
Man, I'd love to do something like this. I've been trying to knock it out for a couple of yeara now. Or WFA at a minimum. Head south, I bet I can round some bodies up.
In addition to being handy on hikes it would be very good to have if doing trail maintenance and someone gets hurt.
i am interested in this i have the cpr aed frist aid cert.
welcome to planet earth no one gets out alive
I might be interested in helping instruct a course in Texas. I'm a WRFA instructor with the ARC (with several courses under my belt) and a WFR instructor with the American Safety & Health Institute.
In Southern MN the boy scout council has a class for $75. If you could match that it would be great. I even have a place for you to have it.
Like a sausage hanging in the wind.
Unlikely my schedule would just happen to be open when the class was scheduled but if it all worked out I'd love to do something like this.
I'm still interested in this, and willing to travel depending on conditions.
