In another thread there was discussion of First Aid being used out in the back woods. In that discussion there was some minor consensus that a Wilderness First Aid class was beneficial to people who regularly spend time where an ambulance isn't five minutes away.
If there is sufficient interest, I would be willing to organize a series of hangs where Wilderness First Responder would be taught. I would expect to use volunteer instructors, so costs would only be for any materials (books, first aid supplies) that would be used in the class.
I could see doing the class four times, in Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas, Oregon, to cover a wide area. Of course if a group of people from another area wanted to have one closer to them, the locations are negotiable.
So let me know if you would be interested in attending something like this and I'll start putting together some prices and dates and locations. Also if you are (or can be easily) a trainer for a course like this and would like to volunteer your time, let me know that as well.
