Solid Black Warbonnet Blackbird?

I was going through the photo gallery of Blackbird Hammocks and came across the picture of Te-Wa's BB and his UQ setup that he has become famous for making, and couldn’t help but notice it seemed like his hammock is solid black. I know that color his nothing to do with the functionality of the hammock, but every once in a while you see something that looks so cool you just have to have it. A solid black BB with black Te-Wa underquilt is pretty much the coolest looking hang I have ever seen. Does Brandon take custom orders, was this specially made for Te-Wa, or is it a normal green BB and the lighting just made it look solid black and extremely cool?

Brandon has been known to make BB's from customer supplied fabric in several cases. I don't know if that's how the pictured one came about though.

Te-Wa makes a fantastic underquilt BTW.

my blackbird is supposedly gray but i'd call it green. my girlfriend has like 15 different words for the color blue

The first 1.1 Blackbirds were black, IIRC.

I didn't like them in black so much, although I never saw one in real life. I think they look better in gray or green, the black netting and trimming sets them off. But that's IMHO.

I have a black Traveler, a black Synthetic Yet, and a black Black Mamba. It really gets confusing at night, I need some contrast!

mine was indeed a 1.1 single layer. all black.

Mine was one of the early 1.1's, and it came in black. By the time I ordered a second for my fiance, the colors had changed.

Thanks everyone for the great info! I did not want to bug Te-Wa directly as I assumed he was so busy making those awesome underquilts (planning to order mine next payday!) and it was great to hear from all of you. I will treat my grey BB with loving care until either Warbonnet begins offering a Black color choice or one of you, in a fit of insanity, somehow decide to part with yours.
