No. I'd love to see a pic of it. I've been looking at some of the battery operated fans that I could hang from a hammock for some of these summer hikes in FL. I'm not too worried about the weight, as I'm keeping the mileages below 50 miles for the most part. My biggest problem right now is the Warbonnet (which I adore) has no ridge line and no place to hang a fan from. But, I'm not above putting a non-structural one in if it means having a few extra degrees of coolness.
cannibal... here's the lightest fan i've picked up (at wal-mart) weighing 3.5ozs.
but i have no doubt that some of our electronic types could reduce that weight in half for backpacking in summer.
if you click on my gallery, you'll see another fan i got at wal-mart & the fan that brian (T-back) used.
a breeze makes a huge difference so i guess when you find your only choice for hammocking is sometimes in hotter times than you'd like, it may be worth it's weight in gold<g>.
if someone wanted to get technical about it, some questions to consider might be...
1) most efficient fan blade type
2) best motor size & battery type to get the best air flow for the weight.
3) light weight, adjustable attachment methods (small wire?).
of course if weight isn't a concern (shorter hikes & car camping) & a some what heavier fan was used, a person would just need that they have a ridge line that can handle the extra weight.
