    Cool Traveler ordered

First time caller, long time listener.

Traveler ordered today, along with tarp and bugnet. Double 1.1.

I debated Traveler vs. BB for some time, netted out with the Traveler for more casual use in addition to camping. I'm a motorcycle camper, so no direct need to wean off the grams, and will likely sometimes carry a tent too for times when there is no vertical support. A Traveler will let me take it along on family trips for quick lounging, which is similar to the scenario market that ENO and Grand Truck are going after. Double layered for insulation, I'll stuff the thermarest in there, great for the few times a year I camp out. And I hate sleeping on the ground.

Now waiting starts. I'll post a few pix when it arrives, hope others do the same. Haven't seen an OOBE yet, who has one?!

    WB Traveler

Camped in my Traveler for the first time last week on an island on Lake Murray, SC!
The tarp is the Warbonnet Big Mamajamba. Very nice tarp in discontinued Blue color.

    Yah...

...out of box experience. Sorry, quick short hand. Also known as a quick photo or video set to share that new purchase excitement.

    Ricegravy - nice photo!

I received a Trav. last rotation off and spent some time in it on top of a 3sY (3 season yeti) and a 3sM.......my first impression was why do I have 2 BlackBirds!?!?!?!
Knowing what I know now (no snickering please) and assuming that someone will produce a gathered end hammock specific half-bugnet, well I'd have to think about the BlackBird a wee bit before ordering.
To me you get the same OUTSTANDING lay in either one. I think you have to look at your intended environment. I just don't end up bug out many times or in many places-whether its site selection, time of year, or just where I frequent I don't know. OK, the WB gives you a few extra degrees with the bugnet but you can get those degrees and more with an Unsponsored hammock sock (and in a way a hammock sock is a bugnet too).....flexibility-get the WB bugnet and you've got the best of worlds IF you can live without the shelf (and I'll be the first to admit the shelf is sweeeeeeet)....Footbox? I'm not even going there, it's a moot point-whether Traveler or BlackBird you'll get the best lay you ever had

On the shopping list. The 1.1 single with line suspension. Will miss the BB shelf, but not bug netting for the bug free season. ~8oz less hammock mass, but ~8oz heavier under quilt for the bug free season.

Order a ridgeline organizer from 2QZQ. It takes the edge off losing the shelf
It's only an addiction if you're trying to quit
