Betwixt Snow and Blackflies Hang April 9-11, 2010 Kejimkujik National Park

A car camp at the group site. Cost would be $4.90 per person per night and no admission fees before May. Great area with beech and maple trees , fire pits, picnic tables. Pit toilets and a group shelter with a wood stove and fire wood include. The shelter would be a great spot to hang out if the weather is a bit uncooperative. There is also a large group fire pit if the weather is good.

Thanks to JB for scoping it out

I love camping in Kejimkujik, and I wish that I could join you guys. I'm fly back to Halifax for a conference the week before that, but I have to head out again on the 9'th April. There is a 6km hike up near Big Dam lake I think it is called. It takes you through one of the few Old Growth stands left in NS - Hemlock Trees I seem to remember. It is a very nice walk. Post lots of Photos!

Hemlocks & Hardwoods Trail...yes a very nice hike. the hike can also be done as part of the 26k loop which we are hoping to do later this year and hang at camp site #5.

Dang, who'da thunk we had enough HFers up y'all's way to have a hang? Wish I had the money to take a drive up there and hang out with all of you!

It's better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

Formerly known as Acercanto, my trail name is MacGuyver to some, and Pucker Factor to others.

It's not procrastinating, its proactively delaying the implementation of the energy-intensive phase of the project until the enthusiasm factor is at its maximum effectiveness. - Randy Glasbergen
