The Kelty Noah9 offers great coverage. Campmor sells them(http://www.campmor.com/outdoor/gear/Product___22048). Also for $80 you could go for the Funky Forest tarp by Grand Trunk Goods(http://www.grandtrunkgoods.com/ProdD...aspx?prodId=66), this is the tarp I currently use.

    Shipping Dimensions
    Weight: 1.9 pounds.
    Dimensional Weight: 0.81 pounds.
    Dimensions: 4" (W) x 2" (H) x 17" (D)

Not sure if the weight is 1.9lbs or if thats the shipping weight? And the true weight is .81lbs? Thanks
Hey Bags4266. My tarp alone (no stuff sack) weighed in at 800 grams (28.2 ounces) on my digital scale. The weights there listed don't bear any resemblance to reality. Note the terms used: Shipping dimensions weight, Dimensional Weight. The shipping weight is close to reality. The 0.81 pounds is out to lunch.

    Cheers

Thanks B, Saw that on an earlier post. To heavy for me, but car campers and those who don't mind the extra weight its a win, and very cheap too. Hell, I might buy one anyway, for $20.00 , one less lunch at the bar.

I'll second this tarp. Also available from the Sportsman's Guide which is probably the same company.

Well I finally went ahead and ordered a tarp. I ended up getting the Chinook 12' x 9'6" tarp. Ambient outdoors finally has them back in stock. http://www.ambientsw.com/gs55094.html
The tarp + shipping was only $30.82 ($21.75 for the tarp and $9.07 for shipping). I figured it was hard to beat this deal. Plus these tarps have gotten good reviews around these forums.

You can get a poly tarp from Lowes for about $8.

If you are concerned about weight then save up some $ and get a silnylon ultralight tarp from campmor.
