    The Great Pumpkin Quilt

    Specs:
    Width = 40"
    Length = 40"
    Baffle height = 2.5"
    Down = 7.8ozs 700FP
    Total Weight = 14.5ozs

    Looks like I ended up with a total loft around 3.75"-4" which sould get me to approx 20*-30*F. Tried out a draft stopper for the head end, will have to see how it works out. I have to thank Te-Wa and Dutch for all the info & help they offer.

    This was our first attempt at a down quilt. It ended up too small. So instead of being a 3/4 qulit it is a 1/2 quilt.

    Called this one The Great Pumpkin:

    Wow... the overstuffing makes it look sewn-thru. Talk about a warm quilt. I like the color.

    I used a kind of differential baffle shape like Dutch showed here:

    Thanks, but that's why I don't take really close up pics.

    Coffee made a similar mistake, he just added another tube/baffle. I can't find it, but I think his directions are here somewhere. If not, he should get back from OZ in about a month or so, & I'm sure he would be able to offer some advice, if you want your quilt to be larger.
