WTB-Backpack for my daughter 13 yo

I am looking for an introductory backpack for my daughter. She is 13 about 5'3" and about 100 pounds. If anyone has anything in their closet or could point me in a good direction it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Kids can get away with using day packs or something like the Deuter Fox - Osprey has a few kid specific packs as well. You don't want to give her a lot to carry anyway. Clothes, a little food, maybe her sleeping bag or pad and some water, tops.

The Gregory Z55 might suit. Many of our Scouts (11-13) use them because they are relatively light and very stable.

An Ultralight Model 10 Molly Mac Pack at 16 oz would allow her to carry light loads now, and increase the load as she grows. It would also be useful for her dad... if she would let him borrow it. It takes only a minute to reposition the shoulder straps from her size to your size!

I've also got an Osprey Atmos 25 I want to sell.

    - MacEntyre, glad to help if needed!

I try not to put too much weight on my kids when we backpack. Maybe 10 pounds at the most. So a day pack is probably all that is needed. No need for any frame or hip belt. I use the REI Flash 18 which is only 18 liters volume. It's cheap, durable, and does the job.

What about something like a Golite Jam that she could grow into?

Mac, I love the looks of the Molly, but my daughter is 13 and she things she has to look good. Maybe Dad can get him a birthday present before long.

Heber, I like the looks of the REI flash, thanks.

Hi, I have a Golite Pinnacle that I love, soooo comfy, and a workhorse. I'm the same height as your daughter, and for the money, I would suggest the Golite Jam, Pinnacle, or Pursuit, whatever is on sale.
Sunny Sports has the Pursuit for $74.95 free shipping. REI outlet has the Jam on sale for $87.93. Hope this helps, and I'm sure she'll look good in any color!
