Franklin River Kayak Trip - Tasmania

    Hi all,

Just completed a 5 day kayak trip down the Franklin River. Level was low but we got though OK. Hammock was a great addition to my camping kit - Trouble free except for the last night. Slept on a shingle island which had a distinct lack of usable trees. Ended up having to settle for ~ a 10m span between 1 sturdy and 1 flimsy tree. Bridged gap with 2 kayaks strapped together as an A frame trestle. Work reasonably well.

Pictures can be found under my profile.

Sounds like you had a great trip and a successful challenge hanging one night. You used what you had to make it work .Nice pics
