temps in the area are expected to be 35-37 degrees. a standard te-wa will eat that weather up and spit it out. if you want, i'll bring one for you to "test" and you can hand me $185 in cash so I can "test" some other gear from another cottage maker. see, aint it fun?
AT attempting thru-hiker Angela reports that the te-wa fits a BMBH perfectly, using the suspension on head end to wrap around the spreader bar, and using cloth-diaper sized safety pins at the bottom end. a very simple mod, and voila!

I'll have my WINTER Te-Wa UQ to get the pro to help me. I think I messed the cords up when trying to fit it to the BB (that's it's designed for). I'm sure those temps will leaving crying to mama with that bad boy.

    p.s. It's PURPLE!!!! yippee... I love color!
It's not the pace....it's the experience.

Thanks for the offer but I already spent this season gear money on a new backpack in order to save myself 5 pounds. I'll soon be in the market for a summer TQ, and possibly an UQ. I think this hangout will still be cool enough for me to make due with my winter gear.

I am still planning to backpack along both segments on Saturday and Sunday. I will be more than happy to partake of any and all luxury items the car campers have along on Saturday night however.

I was thinking to head up Friday afternoon and car camp before hitting the trail Saturday AM. How about meeting up at the McDowell Casino at 5:00pm Friday and driving up together from there?

Thanks for the reminder on fishing license. Mine's probably expired. I wonder if I'll have much time to break out the Tenkara Hane with all the planned hiking miles? Hey Te-wa, what do you figure for time to complete these two segments? Assuming a mortal ordinary non-squirrel pace, that is.
